// Federal Aviation Administration News

Pilot Samuel Gore said he lacked power to clear trees at the end of the Pine Mountain Lake Airport runway when his plane crashed on May 10. A 40-year-old Beechcraft that took off and crashed May 10 about 600 yards from the end of the runway at Pine Mountain Lake Airport had not been maintained, operated or flown in at least five years, and possibly 10 years or more, until pre-flight maintenance was conducted before it crashed, according to a preliminary report released Monday.

// Neatorama

People who question or disagree with a scientific theory often have a hard time proving the theory is wrong, and if they want their proof to resonate with the internet community they must put the proof on video.

Watch this man obliterate the world record for the longest hoverboard flight
// The Next Web

A few weeks back, French jet ski champion Franky Zapata released a video testing this amazing hoverboard that can (theoretically) propel its riders up to 10,000 feet in the air. Last week, however, Zapata put out new footage of him flying the hoverboard that decisively answers the doubts of all the naysayers. In his latest video, Zapata not only proves the Flyboard Air is real, but also sets a new world record for the longest…
