Special Notice - Shanksville, PA, New York City, NY, and Washington, D.C. Notice Number: NOTC3189 In observance of the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, numerous local, state, and federal entities will hold memorial services and other events during the September 9-12, 2011 period.  Some of these events will have corresponding air space restrictions.  Pilots should exercise caution and frequently check NOTAMS.   Pilots operating in the vicinity of Shanksville, PA, New York City, NY, and Washington, D.C. should especially be alert for changing airspace restrictions. This notice is being sent to you because you selected "General Information" in your preferences on FAASafety.gov.
